Hey All,
Last week troop 782, in our red shirts of awesomeness, attended the High Uintah summer camp. We had a great time camping, cooking, learning, hiking, riding, shooting, and getting a little too creative with a contraband sharpie. The boys earned 53 merit badge all together, most of which were earned by the younger scouts. They earned a few hard eagle required merit badges and some fun ones too.
Enduring, I mean enjoying one of the many fine campfire and flag ceremony activities.
Working at one merit badge classes.
Ok, here is the sharpie stuff. Grant got tattooed in sort of a Māori theme. But it seemed to just degenerate after that.
with random shadows and makings.
Apparently this is how it went down. Someone late at night found a sharpie and started drawing on the person next to them in their sleep. That person woke up and they started doing the next person. Some people resisted and screaming, laughing and much roughhousing (in a tent) ensued. Other campers were disturbed and later complained but all awoke to a much grayer countenance in the morning. I fortunately slept through the whole thing with a clean face and just got to take pictures and laugh.
Good morning Carter.
Another bright Day!
Thrusday on the rifle range.
Checking the targets and the playing cards that they shot in half.
Thanks to all the leaders who came up and helped. We couldn't have done it with out Tim, Reed, Devin, Vince, Austin, Nate, Karl and Merlin.
Let's all give a hand to Stumpy McFee. Motivational camper and football star. Nothing slows him down.
Some parents weren't too happy about the markings. Karl's cleaning Brandon with some diaper wipes. Yes it has been a very long time they both thought.
Friday we took a hike to the local 12,028 ft mountain peak.
Added some stuff to the geo-cache.
Enjoyed the beautiful glacier carved views, and killed about 13,000 mosquitoes each.
Thanks for looking, please leave a comment and give a scout an up-shag, 'cause they deserve it. -Scoutmaster Rob-
