Hi everybody.
Here are some pictures that we forgot we had from the campout that the New Scouts took last fall. Tim showed the boys how to pitch a tent and sleep in it and how to start a fire. Some very important scoutly skillz.
This might look like a bit of a safety issue but have no fear its an Official Red Ryder Carbine-Action Two-Hundred-Shot Range Model Air Rifle! I think that Mori was saying You'll shoot your eye out kid! The boys had a great time shooting cans and being safe.
Tim is enjoying a toasty foil dinner.
The boys made good on the fire starting skillz and it stayed in the fire pit the entire evening.
For 2011 the scouts enjoyed a traditionally fun over night activity at the bishop's cabin. Lots of gravity assisted frictionless surface accelerations had by all and only one lingering injury.
Currently the Scouts are working on Personal Management and Auto Mechanics merit badge. The Varsity scouts are working on the Lifesaving merit badge.
Give a scout leader a high five cause they need it sometimes and make sure that your boy comes to scouts every Thursday night.
